I started taking photos when I was a teenager, borrowing my brother in law's 35mm Pentax. I was studying landscape and horticulture and I wanted to photograph leaves and insects. Wildlife Photography really became a part of my life when I worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Laona Wisconsin. After seeing my first bald eagle in the wild I became hooked on wildlife, the outdoors and taking nature pictures. I was from Chicago and didn't see that much except when I visited the zoo. When I was in my twenties I did a lot of traveling and always had a camera by my side. Now I live in Colorado and spend most of my time in the mountains when I'm not working. I love to mountain bike and hike. Always with a camera. Since seeing my first moose twenty years ago I've become fascinated with them. I love to watch them and they have become the main subject of my Colorado wildlife photos, mostly from the Grand Lake area of Colorado. I love to go off trail and that's how I get some of my other rare photos wether being a baby moose, a lily pond, beautiful wild flowers, pine marten, porcupine or odd deer. I love to share these experiences with anyone interested.
